Making things go smoothly
Please ensure that you give us the correct address and full postcode where a recipient will be able to accept a package, as we cannot be held responsible for any parcels not delivered or collected due to incorrect delivery information or if the recipient is away at the time. Please note that if a consignment is returned to us as a result of the recipient not being able to take delivery, we will need to charge an additional delivery charge to re-deliver.
It is also useful if you can provide us with a contact telephone number for the recipient so we can contact them if necessary - you will be asked for this when you enter the delivery details during the checkout process.
If you are not sure if a recipient will be at home, we recommend delivery to a work address where possible.
Where we deliver and how much it costs
We deliver to all United Kingdom mainland addresses at a cost of £6.95 per delivery to each postal address. Please note that we do not deliver on Bank Holidays.
We can also deliver to Northern Ireland, Offshore & Channel Islands (premium charge) and outside the UK – due to local customs restrictions, please click here to contact us if you would like to arrange a delivery outside mainland UK.
Saturday delivery is available to most United Kingdom mainland addresses* at a cost of £19.00 per delivery to each postal addresses.
*please note that Saturday deliveries are not available to the Scottish Highlands.
Deliveries by Royal Mail
Delivery for items despatched by Royal Mail is charged per item - the cost per item is clearly displayed on the product page. We send all Royal Mail deliveries by First Class post. We can't guarantee next day delivery on items sent using this method (although c92% of First Class mail arrives next day).
Free Delivery Items
Certain products are delivered free of charge - if this is the case, it will be clearly displayed on the product page. Free Delivery is offered to UK Mainland addresses Monday to Friday only - please contact us for a quote for delivery elsewhere.
We deliver between 9.00am and 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday. Saturday deliveries tend to take place in the morning, but we cannot guarantee this.
Cut-off time for next day delivery
Orders received before 2pm can usually be despatched for Next Working Day (or Saturday) delivery. If for any reason a delivery date is unavailable, our system will be aware of this and will prevent a non-delivery date being selected.
Delivery of gifts containing fresh items
Hampers containing items that require refrigeration on delivery must be delivered on an over-night service to ensure the correct temperature is maintained. We cannot deliver hampers containing fresh items on a Monday or on a Tuesday following a Bank Holiday.
Delivery to business addresses, hospitals or military bases
Deliveries to business addresses, hospitals or military bases will be delivered to a main reception or mailing room prior to internal distribution. We do not recommend Saturday delivery when sending gifts to these locations.
All deliveries to hospitals must include the ward name or number in the relevant address field. Any order omitting these details may not be accepted for delivery by the hospital.
We cannot accept orders for delivery to an address containing a PO Box number, or from persons placing an order whose address contains a PO Box number.
Sending to multiple delivery addresses within a single order
If you wish to despatch items within your order to different delivery addresses, you will be given the option during the checkout process to either deliver all items to a single address or assign delivery addresses to each item.
Sending items within a single order on different dates
It is possible to specify different delivery dates for items within your order using the ‘deliver to multiple addresses’ option during the checkout process.
You will be able to track the status of your order by logging into your account on the whisk hampers website (click on the ‘my account’ button in the top right hand corner of the homepage or follow the link in the confirmation email you receive after you place your order).
What happens if a recipient is not there to sign for a delivery?
If the recipient is not there to sign for a delivery, our courier will leave a card at the delivery address with a contact telephone number to rearrange delivery. Unfortunately there is no recompense for deterioration of products due to non-delivery. Please note that our courier may return a consignment if the recipient is unable to take delivery within 7 days. If the goods are returned for this reason we will need to charge an additional delivery charge to re-deliver.
If you’d like to leave instructions for somewhere the package can be left safely without a signature (e.g. in shed, with neighbour), please complete the ‘special delivery instructions’ box during the checkout process. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for packages if you have left instructions for them to be delivered without obtaining a signature.
